New Owners first steps:
Logon to your server and god up using the password owner.
Open the user list and click yourself in the list then say `gatekeeper bless - This make it so only you can God or Wiz up till you bless other users.
Change the God and Wiz password with the commands `godpass newpassword and `wizpass newpassword.
Control Panel - You can use your control panel to:
Start and stop your palace server.
Upload, view, and delete your Media - When ever uploading media try to keep all file names in lower case and never use spaces or weird characters, if you have a file named Myroom.GIF rename it to myroom.gif before uploading. This will ensure your visitors won't have any problems downloading them with the client and it will also keep your instant palace working. Instant palace doesn't like mixed case file names.
View your server log - Logs are reset each Saturday night at midnight.
Edit your .pat and .prefs files for manually adding rooms or a Palacetools Id. If you edit your prefs or pat file make sure you stop the server first then edit the pat or prefs file then start the server back up.
You can login to your control panel with the name and password you signed up with. Please never give out your login name or password. Anyone with that information could log in and delete your palace server.
Gatekeeper
To bless someone whisper `gatekeeper bless
To unbless someone whisper `gatekeeper unbless or say `gatekeeper unbless {CODE}
To list who is blessed and find there {CODE} say `gatekeeper list
Never bless anyone you do not trust one hundred percent. Also never bless a guest. You can tell if someone is a guest by right clicking them with the mouse and select list, that will show there Name, IP, and {CODE}, if you see { } and no CODE in between it then they aren't a member and blessing them would bless all guests. CODE will look different for everyone, it will be random letters.
Events
If you should ever want allow Palace Presents Moderator to work so you can run an event you will have to type `btc presents on to enable it on the sever.
Creating and uploading your website
You can make your own website or have someone make one for you then have them send it to you. Once you get your website you can upload it using FTP. Upload it right to the folder you connect to first in FTP. You can replace the temporary index.html that's already there.
